About the Author: At 38 years old, it hit me – WE ARE HALFWAY TO RETIREMENT! I was on paternity leave following the birth of my 3rd child. Although I have been a budgeter for all of my adult life, I still found myself deep in student loan with limited savings compared to my peer group. I am a physician with a very good income, but like most physicians I spent most of my 20s falling deeper in to student loan debt and delaying almost all money making potential.
My brother had visited me on his way to a conference to learn about investing. He introduced me into the world of value investing, starting me on this journey. I began learning about Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger, and I started sending emails to friends with my investing record. One of them suggested I should start a blog, and here is the result.
